As a Publishing QA Manager at Annapurna Interactive, you will be responsible for managing multiple external QA teams and overseeing the testing process across multiple game projects, including qualitative playtests with external focus groups. You will collaborate closely with producers, developers, and designers to ensure our games are free of bugs, optimized for performance, and provide a seamless user experience. This role requires a deep understanding of the game development process, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering polished, high-quality games to market.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement QA strategies, test plans, and processes tailored to each project's unique requirements, in collaboration with external development teams.
Coordinate and prioritize testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and timelines.
Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, track, and resolve bugs, performance issues, and game-breaking problems.
Communicate key QA findings, progress, and blockers to stakeholders, including producers, designers, and executives.
Oversee both manual and automated testing processes, ensuring a balance between exploratory testing and scripted test cases.
Ensure compliance with platform guidelines, hardware requirements, and industry standards for console, PC, and mobile platforms.
Maintain detailed documentation of bugs, test cases, and testing progress using bug tracking tools (e.g., YouTrack, etc.).
Collaborate with external QA partners and ensure high standards of communication and delivery.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in video game testing and quality assurance.
Assist in creating and maintaining a culture of quality, encouraging all team members to focus on delivering a polished final product.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in video game QA, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
Proven experience shipping multiple AAA or critically acclaimed indie games across a variety of platforms (PC, console, mobile).
Must have experience at a gaming publisher.
Strong understanding of game development cycles, from pre-production to post-launch.
Experience working with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., YouTrack, TestRail).
Familiarity with first-party certification processes (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) is mandatory.
Knowledge of automated testing tools and methodologies is a bonus.
Passion for video games, with a deep understanding of various genres and platforms.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000
