Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Hadoop Administrator - Cloudera at Frevour in Noida. The Hadoop Administrator will be responsible for tasks related to Hadoop administration, ETL processes, Big Data management, and Data Warehousing on a day-to-day basis.

  • Cluster Setup and Maintenance: Help install, configure, and maintain Hadoop clusters in Cloudera CDP 7.x, ensuring a stable and efficient environment.
  • Monitoring and Alerts: Monitor cluster health and performance using Cloudera Manager and other tools, assisting in addressing alerts and issues proactively.
  • Database Support: Support the configuration and maintenance of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
  • Basic Performance Tuning: Learn from senior team members and assist in optimizing cluster components for improved performance.
  • Security Management: Help implement and maintain security protocols such as Kerberos, SSL/TLS, and data encryption, working closely with experienced colleagues.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Contribute to the development and execution of data backup and recovery strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update documentation for cluster configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Work closely with senior administrators, data engineers, and other team members to gain hands-on experience and learn best practices.

Qualifications
  • Hadoop Administration and Hadoop skills
  • Experience in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Big Data management
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of data management principles
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
