Job Description:

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is searching on behalf of its client in Rochester, NY for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products through the development and implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

You will
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product compliance with industry standards and specifications
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement in the production process
  • Demonstrate your expertise in process improvement
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and improve overall product quality
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection findings
  • Generate detailed reports on quality performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for product defects or quality issues-
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

Supplier Quality Management
  • Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and customer support teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the product lifecycle

You have
  • BS in Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies
  • Proven validation experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in quality tools and statistical analysis
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus
  • Experience in the medical device field is the cherry on top!
