Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our technology team at a premier asset management firm in Boston. This role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, with a focus on Python, JavaScript, and AWS. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge financial solutions that drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python (Django/Flask), JavaScript (React/Node.js), and AWS services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures to support high-performance applications.
  • Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of applications on AWS infrastructure.
  • Lead architectural discussions and decision-making for complex projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's overall technical growth.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including frameworks like Django/Flask and React/Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of front-end development principles, responsive design, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with database design, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a strong focus on delivering robust, high-quality software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in asset management or fintech.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
