JOB TITLE: Evening / Overnight Quality Assurance Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance

PAY: $18 / hour (Subject to change based on experience and certifications held)

JOB TYPE / SCHEDULE: Full-Time. Currently Monday through Friday but must be available on weekends if necessary for projects or other scheduled activities.

REPORTS TO: Director of Food Safety

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Bread Man Baking Company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Evening / Overnight Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our bakery team. In this role, you will ensure that our baked goods comply with food safety, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
• You will verify that our baked goods meet the highest quality and food safety standards and work closely with the production team to address any issues that may arise.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
• Food Safety - Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP and SQF regulations, including proper handling, storage and sanitation practices.
• Documentation - Maintain accurate records of quality and critical control point checks. All inspections and corrective actions taken are to be documented and reported in a timely manner.
• Quality Control - Monitor and inspect finished products and ingredients for adherence to quality standards.
• Issue Resolution - Address and resolve any food safety or quality issues that arise during the Evening / Overnight shift, coordinating with other departments as needed. Direct communication with the Director of Food Safety is required for major or critical non-conformances.
• Training - Assist in training new and existing staff on food safety practices and quality assurance procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be bilingual, English and Spanish speaking
• Experience - Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance or food safety role, preferably in a bakery or food production environment.
• Supervisory - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge / Skills - Strong understanding of quality control principles, food safety regulations, and bakery production processes. Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Education / Certifications - High School diploma or equivalent required. HACCP Certification preferred, but not required.
• Physical Requirements - Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
