A client of Insight Global is looking for a construction scheduler to support a general contracting team in multiple locations. Some of their responsibilities are as follows:
Assisting project teams with the schedule updating process (progressing schedules, including fragnets for impact)
Entering data received from team members (or from independent site walks)
Confirming the data provided by the project team
Preparing a variety of outputs from Primavera (Gantt, Resource, Tabular exports to Spreadsheets) and Spreadsheets
Note, outputs could include invoice back-up from P6 for cost loaded schedules
Change Order incorporation in the schedule (other than fragnet analysis) is included to prepare a complete invoice
Clear understanding of contract milestones and deliverables for each project
Constant communication with the lead manager or superintendent for each project
Leading planning and detail development sessions with the project team
Qualifications:
5-7 years experience working as a scheduler in construction or manufacturing.
College Degree (associates or bachelor's)
Note:Experience working for a trade contractor is also acceptable
Experience working with project teams planning and developing the project schedule (activities, duration, sequences).
Experience with preparing schedule progress updates.
Analyzing schedule updates and informing the project team regarding current schedule status, date forecasts, and potential impacts.
Exposure to schedule metrics and key performance indices (KPI's).
Developing, inserting, analyzing schedule fragnets. Explaining result of potential schedule impact to the project team.
Experience with writing schedule narratives and preparing schedule submission packages per specification requirements.
Exposure with preparing time extension requests.
Exposure to hour, dollar and / or quantity loading project schedules.
Understanding lean scheduling processes (pull / planning boards or software).
Proficient in Primavera P6.
Competency with the Microsoft software suite of applications
Pluses:
Exposure to other scheduling software (MS Project, Phoenix, ...), lean software (Touchplan, vPlanner,) and schedule analytics and risk evaluation tools
