CAE Engineer for a Global Automotive Company

Job Description:

A global automotive company is seeking an experienced CAE Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over 6+ years of industry experience as a CAE analyst, with expertise in using LS-Dyna and Abaqus for solver analysis. Proficiency in pre-processor/post-processor tools like ANSA and Meta Post is essential for this role. This individual will be responsible for performing vehicle system-level CAE model construction, visualization, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Conduct advanced CAE analysis using LS-Dyna and Abaqus for vehicle system-level simulations.
  • Develop, visualize, and analyze complex CAE models using pre-processor/post-processor tools like ANSA and Meta Post.
  • Perform detailed FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to support engineering designs, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into overall vehicle development processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to guide design improvements and solve engineering challenges.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in CAE technologies and tools to continuously improve simulation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Document analysis methods, results, and findings for engineering reports.

Required Skillset:

Minimum of 6+ years of industry experience as a CAE Analyst with a focus on LS-Dyna and Abaqus.
  • 5+ years of experience using pre-processor/post-processor tools (ANSA and Meta Post preferred).
  • Knowledge of ADAMS or CFD solvers is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in simulation and model building.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (an advanced degree in a related field may substitute for 2 years of experience).

Bonus Skillset:

Previous experience in an R&D environment.
