Position Summary The CLAS Program Coordinator works with multi-unit manager and department chairs to maintain productive function of all aspects of the daily operations of the department. This position reports to the multi-unit manager and has a dotted line to the Director of People & Culture. The primary functions of this position are to provide front office service to students, faculty and public; serve as graduate program coordinator, and coordinate events and public outreach.

CLAS is recruiting to fill four Program Coordinator positions.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience.

Note:
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position Must be able to correctly interpret, communicate and enforce PSU and Department policies on graduate requirements, be accountable with a high attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with general office software and technology programs.
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment and work well with/assist a diverse clientele.
  • Self-directed, proactive and demonstrated ability to initiate activities.
  • Collaborative and able to work as a part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Banner, Slate and Cognos (Datamaster) or similar multi-user database.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Diverse Groups
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Have a high comfort level with software technology and database management, and have the ability to troubleshoot problems.

Work Days/Hours Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm (In-person)
Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement The starting salary rate for this position will be between $17.24 and $19.29 per hour. The salary rates for SEIU members will increase by 2% on 11/1/24.
