This Sr Program Manager will work in the Operational Excellence organization. This position is responsible for developing strategies, implementing operating mechanisms, and leading transformational projects to improve results within operations spanning from quality, customer service, cost reduction and employee engagement. The position is responsible for providing leadership for developing, leading and executing one or multiple programs. The job function includes developing, advocating, and enabling business partners with tools and methodologies to identify and improve processes that not only drive operational excellence but also achieve the transformational results.

  • Develop program vision, strategy and program charter with guidance from leadership.

  • Overall responsibility for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.

  • Program Monitoring & Reporting - Status Updates, risks, documentation, measure adoption as a leading indicator to full value realization.

  • Facilitate alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, collaborate across OI, site, and functions for successful execution.

  • Directs day to day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations.

  • Modifies scope, content of program as required , prioritizes individual projects.

  • Maintain healthy and active project pipeline to achieve goals in line with strategic plans and AOP.

  • Accountability for results to be achieved through influence.

  • May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.

  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.

  • Communicates team progress.

  • Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).

  • Performs cost and benefit analysis.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

  • Lean Sigma Black or Green Belt or Certification in Lean Sigma training

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects to completion

  • Contributes innovative ideas that lead to positive business results encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes and solutions

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$136,800.00 - $205,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
