Position Summary/Objective

The Production Coordinator is responsible for monitoring all aspects of the manufacturing process, including data maintained in structured systems, use of materials, customer orders, Work in Process (WIP) and production schedules. This individual will coordinate the production process from start to finish, ensuring that the products are made according to specifications and meet quality standards. The Production Coordinator will work closely with other departments to ensure that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Essential Functions


  • Prepare Manufacturing Information Cards (MIC) based Production Schedule daily needs to issue with corresponding product specification information and generate Production Volume Reports (PVR) after manufacturing is finished and MICs received back from production.

  • Analyze recorded production data, documents (PVR, MIC), materials, products to assess accuracy between all quantity and specification outputs and authorize the beginning Manufacturing Order (MO) completion process.

  • Coordinate with various departments, including production, planning, inventory, and quality teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.

  • Maintain data related to manufacturing specification sheets, statistics, and KPI’s: quality defects, deviations, reworks, PVR, errors and misses, production rates, productivity, CPU, and individual performance, among others.

  • Prepare and issue various types of shipping labels to meet label specifications.

  • Follows all company safety policies and keeps up to date on all required training.

  • Monitor the efficiency of the production station to ensure timely completion.

  • Communicate with supervisor(s) regularly, to determine progress of work and completion dates.

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience


  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Experience in manufacturing environments, data entry, data analysis, and reporting

  • Strong critical thinking skills: Must be able to look at numbers, trends, data and come to new conclusions based on their analysis.

  • MISys or other MRP software knowledge/experience will be a plus.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Able to work flexible days and hours, including some Saturdays.

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a cGMP factory.
