Job Description:

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Land Development Field Manager to join our team and oversee our land development projects from start to finish.

Job Summary:

The Land Development Field Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of land development for our residential projects in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all field operations related to land development, including grading, utilities installation, road construction, and landscaping
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and local regulations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including planning, engineering, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential delays or cost overruns
  • Coordinate with local authorities for inspections, permits, and approvals
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and ongoing project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in land development, preferably in residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of land development processes, construction methods, and local building codes in Albuquerque and New Mexico
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites in the Albuquerque area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or similar professional certification
  • Experience with sustainable development practices and water conservation techniques relevant to the Southwest region
  • Familiarity with GIS and CAD software
