We're seeking a skilled and experienced Land Development Field Manager to join our team and oversee our land development projects from start to finish.
Job Summary:
The Land Development Field Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of land development for our residential projects in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all field operations related to land development, including grading, utilities installation, road construction, and landscaping
Manage and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and local regulations
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with internal teams, including planning, engineering, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution
Manage project schedules and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential delays or cost overruns
Coordinate with local authorities for inspections, permits, and approvals
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
Participate in pre-construction meetings and ongoing project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in land development, preferably in residential construction
Strong knowledge of land development processes, construction methods, and local building codes in Albuquerque and New Mexico
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with diverse teams
Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites in the Albuquerque area
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) license or similar professional certification
Experience with sustainable development practices and water conservation techniques relevant to the Southwest region
