Position Title: Bio & Healthcare Leader (VP Level)
Reports to: President
Key Responsibilities • Introduces new solutions by integrating company's capabilities in emerging niche markets along the Healthcare Journey. • Drives product development initiatives from concept to commercialization, including market analysis, product design, testing, and launch. • Oversees the development and execution of research and development (R&D) programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. • Develops and executes a comprehensive business strategy to include a regional vision which supports companys global vision including development of new markets, increased share of market, and obtaining competitive position in industry through organic and external methods including M&A. • Directs staffing and employee development and mentors direct reports to foster a high-performance cross- functional team focused on providing quality products with customer service excellence. • Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders including academic institutions, industry partners, and regulatory agencies and represents company at trade association and community meetings to promote organization.
Desired Qualifications • Minimum life science MSc, Ph.D. preferred, with 5 years' experience working closely within the life sciences and/or analytical instrumentation business development field. • Strong knowledge of medical device development, the pharmaceutical field and AI strategies as it relates to pharma and medical diagnostic markets. Able to forecast future medical diagnostic and pharmaceutical trends. • Deep knowledge of the life sciences industry, including current trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements. • Comprehensive understanding of and proven experience with GMP, GLP, GCP and GDP compliance. • Experience in clinical development, clinical operations, or project management in large complex organizations is highly preferred. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels. • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate scientific concepts into business opportunities and drive commercialization efforts. • Proven successful experience at all steps of M&A including leading sourcing, due diligence, and integration. • Must have a demonstrated ability to understand and listen to the voice of the customer and proven initiative to effect positive change and internal collaborators. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Access a plus) • Ability to travel as needed.
