In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents to scheduled medical appointments, approved activities, and community outings.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility-approved vehicles.

  • Ensure the safe transport of residents while maintaining a positive community image.

  • Maintain the interior and exterior of vehicles for optimal safety and comfort.

  • Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and deliver vehicles for scheduled maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.).

  • Flexibility in work hours is essential to accommodate resident appointments or activities that may run late.

  • Demonstrate safe clinical-based transfer techniques for residents, including:

    • Ingress and egress of mobile patients.

    • Safe transfer of patients into and out of wheelchairs.

    • Properly securing wheelchair-bound residents in vans.



  • Lift, transfer, and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds in confined areas inside the van.

  • Make complex decisions involving a highly dependent patient base.

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have successfully completed STNA training and maintain continuing education to uphold certification.

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be at least 25 years old.

  • Valid driver's license and familiarity with GPS and local driving areas.

  • Clean driving record: no traffic crimes in the last 7 years (including DUI, DWS, or reckless driving).

  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no more than one accident in the same period.

Skills:


  • Strong communication skills: ability to read, write, and understand job-related instructions and manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and residents.

  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Suite products.

To be successful, the candidate will have to pass a drug screen and background check.
