The Finance Manager will be responsible for all aspects of budgeting (short and long term), forecasting, and month-end close activities. This role requires a strong background in finance, with the ability to drive financial strategy and performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting:
Develop and oversee the preparation of the annual budget, including short and long-term financial planning.
Collaborate with department heads to gather budget inputs, review financial assumptions, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
Forecasting:
Lead the preparation of periodic financial forecasts, incorporating current performance trends, market conditions, and business initiatives.
Analyze forecast variances and adjust projections to reflect updated business conditions.
Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Month-End Close:
Manage and coordinate month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
Review and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Prepare and present monthly financial performance reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Proven experience in leading and developing a finance team.
Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, including GAAP.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting tools.
