A well endowed college in the heart of Boston is looking to add an Assistant Controller to their growing team. Reporting to the Controller, you will be performing month-end close, reconciling eight bank accounts and preparing journal entries and financial statements. This role offers a hybrid work schedule after onboarding and the opportunity to move into a management role.
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
4+ years of experience in a general ledger accounting role
Ability to perform month-end closes, perform complex journal entries and financial statements, and reconcile multiple bank accounts at a time
Nice to Have:
Experience in public accounting or higher education
Management or supervisory experience
