We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll processing, with the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently. As a Bookkeeper in our firm, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting our CPAs, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for multiple clients.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing for clients, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, and ensuring timely payroll tax submissions.
Tax Preparation Support: Assist CPAs in the preparation of client tax returns by organizing and providing necessary financial data.
Client Communication: Serve as the point of contact for client inquiries related to bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Excel) to manage and analyze financial data.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve bookkeeping processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
