We are currently seeking a Debt Asset Management Associate to join the team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Position Overview:

The Debt Asset Management Associate will play a critical role in overseeing the financial performance and management of the firm's debt portfolios. This position will be responsible for analyzing, managing, and reporting on debt obligations related to various real estate assets, ensuring timely payments, compliance with loan covenants, and optimizing the capital structure for each asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage the debt portfolio for assigned real estate assets, ensuring compliance with loan agreements and timely servicing of debt.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review financial performance, update models, and assist in the preparation of financial reports related to debt assets.
  • Conduct ongoing financial analysis and stress testing of existing debt, identifying opportunities for refinancing or restructuring to optimize capital efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management, outlining key financial metrics, upcoming maturities, and risk factors related to the debt portfolio.
  • Liaise with lenders, attorneys, and third-party service providers to ensure efficient execution of debt-related transactions and compliance with all loan terms.
  • Track and manage loan covenants, renewal dates, and other key deadlines to mitigate risks and identify potential issues before they arise.
  • Assist in the underwriting and due diligence of new acquisitions, ensuring that debt strategies align with overall investment goals.
  • Stay informed of market conditions, interest rates, and trends to identify opportunities for debt management optimization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate debt asset management, loan servicing, or a related financial role.
  • Strong understanding of real estate debt structures, financial modeling, and capital markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software; experience with Argus or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
