Job Description:

HIDA is seeking an experienced marketing professional to support marketing initiatives and programs! The Marketing Manager, Member Programs will assist the Director of Marketing in managing and implementing annual marketing plans for HIDA membership, products, and programs, and will be responsible for overseeing the development, proofing, and fulfillment processes of collateral, including graphic design, print production, and project management.

The Marketing Manager, Member Programs, collaborates with staff across the organization to ensure that membership needs and marketing efforts align with organizational goals. This role gathers ideas and recommendations from product managers regarding their respective project areas and interfaces with external audiences, including individuals from member companies and potential prospects. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience managing lists for email and direct mail campaigns, as well as a background in member acquisition and engagement.

The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) is the trade association serving medical products distributors and their trading partners. HIDA members deliver essential medical products such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the nation's hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories, home care, and physician practices.

HIDA is a leading voice on matters important to the healthcare distribution industry as well as the healthcare supply chain as a whole. HIDA offices are located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia and operate on a flexible 3 days in-office, 2 days remote schedule. This position requires less than 10% travel.

Essential Responsibilities:

Marketing
  1. Develop and lead the execution of integrated marketing plans to achieve program and budget goal for HIDA membership products and programs, including but not limited to market reports; research and analytics; HIDA Learning Center and AMS sales training; and various categories of membership.
  2. Initiate and lead the creation of marketing brochures, flyers, e-mail promotions, digital ads, social media and print advertising. Write and edit marketing copy for all marketing collateral and other deliverables.
  3. Provide project management oversight to internal processes to ensure timely delivery of effective marketing materials for HIDA products and services.
  4. Identify and manage relationships with external vendors to provide needed services such as printing, mailing, production, copywriting, digital and design as needed.
  5. Supports membership team with marketing collateral for lead generation, recruitment and retention efforts.
  6. Responsible for HubSpot CRM management efforts and maintenance of targeted members and prospect lists used for marketing purposes.
  7. Responsible for targeted list development for marketing promotions and services directed to members and prospects.


Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications.
  • Association experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five years marketing, public relations, and/or communications management experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Copywriting experience with the ability to distill complex issues into compelling stories and develop effective messages.
  • Experience with CRM software and marketing automation tools. HubSpot experience a plus.
  • Experience managing lists for email and direct mail marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Writing and proofing skills for a variety of vehicles including letters, emails, ads, flyers, brochures, publications.
  • Ability to work with teams.
  • Exceptional time management skills and commitment to deadlines.
