Full time night shift M-F 9:30pm to 6:00 am to include rotating weekends and holidays
Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George's County, our new state-of-the-art, level 2 trauma center (UM Capital Region Medical Center) provides improved access to primary and ambulatory care services, and serves as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George's County residents.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Section Supervisor, performs ordering, procurement, receiving and processing of patient specimens. This position requires practical and theoretical knowledge of phlebotomy procedures. Patient contact and specimens from patients may include age groups from infants to adult-geriatric.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational schooling in medical sciences or previous phlebotomy training preferred.
Basic computer experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and prior hospital experience preferred.
Ability to communicate well with physicians, supervisors, nurses and co-workers.
Ability to read and perform basic mathematical calculations.
New high school grads with an interest in the lab are encouraged to apply!
