As an Event Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and executing large-scale events, including department-specific functions, company-wide events, and events outside of Columbia. Your role as an Event Lead will be pivotal in creating a positive and engaging environment for all employees.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Plan, design, and execute large scale events while managing all project delivery elements within a specified time frame. Manage all event details, including venue organization and vendors. This will include but is not limited to décor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitations, special guests or speakers, equipment, promotional materials, swag, and name tags.
Oversee events on-site acting as the Veterans United representative to communicate, troubleshoot, and react to situations in the moment. Take full responsibility for the success of the event, ensuring that all aspects meet the company's standards and expectations.
Serve as the main point of contact for the events you oversee, understanding the needs and prioritizing resources to ensure a positive event experience. Work closely with speakers, participants, and employees involved with your event(s) and manage all communication and attendee logistics.
Contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to plan and execute company-wide events, projects and initiatives.
Collaborate with Event Coordinators & Event Specialists, delegating responsibilities to them for event preparation and execution.
Ensure that all events comply with legal, insurance, health, and safety requirements. Maintain proper documentation and adhere to company policies throughout event planning and execution.
Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company
Regular and predictable attendance
Valid driver's license and responsible driving history
