The Risk Manager and International Risk Specialist for the University of Oklahoma Norman campus will assist in placing new and renewing existing lines of insurance including travel insurance policy for study abroad; with a dotted line to Global Engagement, serve as a liaison between Global Engagement and Enterprise Risk Management; engage in international travel risk monitoring, assessment, and mitigation; grow and preserve University assets; coordinate claims activity with Legal Counsel and insurance providers; prepare reports on safety, international risk, insurance and loss prevention issues; manage recovery of damage expenses from insurance providers; coordinate policies, procedures and training programs in insurance and loss prevention, and other trainings to mitigate exposure both domestically and abroad; network with departments and University employees to further safety and risk management programs; act as the contact with insurance providers and brokers on risk management issues; oversee the gathering of information and completion of annual required insurance surveys for the Oklahoma Office of Management & Enterprise Services Risk Management; and other duties as necessary including possible supervision of employees.
Responsibilities:
Required Education: Bachelor Degree in Risk Management or a related field, AND
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months experience.
