JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the employees within a Post Operations/Clean Room area. The Group Leader position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters and for participation in both the hiring and performance management processes.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Read routers and performs work as assigned by Operations ManagerDelegate daily job assignments to operators and production associatesUtilize Manufacturing Inspection Process (MIP) to perform quality checks on produced partsMonitor and audit production associates product per the Manufacturing Inspection Plan (MIP)Work hand in hand with scheduling to achieve schedule attainmentWork hand in hand with scheduling to achieve schedule attainmentCoordinate production flow according to customer needsDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Manager/Operations ManagerEscalate production issues to the appropriate departmentReview and inform operators, production associates and management of production efficiency achievement levelsCommunicate scheduling and shipping issues to the building Operations ManagerMonitor raw material staging and work in processTroubleshoot technical issues for Operators and/or Production Associates Delegate daily job assignments to operators and production associatesCoordinate and/or conduct new employee trainingPerform secondary operations to machined parts including but not limited to inspections, de-burring, tumbling, washing, assembly, and/or packagingPerform typical machine shop operationsParticipate in employee hiring and retention, performance reviews and disciplineMaintain a clean and orderly work areaComply with safety regulations and procedures
