Job Overview: The LGUS National Planning Organization is responsible for the optimization and continuous improvement of the total variable cost of delivered product to the customer. Additionally, it includes the responsibility for safety and reliability of supply to our customers and ensuring that all deliveries comply with FDA standards as well as Linde's quality assurance system. Primary Responsibilities: You will work directly with the regional Integrated Planning Manager to create and execute overall strategies that lead to the lowest overall cost of delivered product to merchant customers in the assigned territories, for both production and distribution. - You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of a group of Logistics Planners for a specified Business Region/Geography, and to ensure all planning is consistent with Linde's business goals and needs. - You will set goals for and lead the assigned group of Planners in Safety, Reliability, and Efficiency aligned with the appropriate business region. - You will m anage the documentation and analysis of Quality Incident Reports for assigned geography, leading to the Linde goal of 0 customer runouts. - You will provide direct management reporting for a group of Planners regarding setting individual professional and personal development goals and managing these performances through the Performance Management Process (PMP). - You will work directly within the Logistics Management team to provide overall coverage of business requirements. - You will r epresent the point of contact for the Sales/Business Region to facilitate proper communication for the execution of distribution plans and interact with customers to ensure all requirements are met. - You will provide data and analysis for measurable improvements in all processes within Logistics to lead to gains in customer reliability and cost efficiency. - You will regularly come onto all shifts to meet with direct reports for training and development opportunities. - You will be available after hours, weekends, and holidays for questions and concerns as needed. - Approximately 5% of travel time required. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a related field is require d or equivalent experience in a fast paced, decision making, logistical environment. - 2+ years Operation al/ Logistic al planning experience is a must. - 2+ years Management experience a plus.
