POSITION SUMMARY:

Indivior is seeking an experienced Associate Tax Director - US, responsible for all aspects of US tax compliance, including transfer pricing computations, managing IRS and State tax audits, quarterly and annual tax provisions, various research projects and tax planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Tax Planning & Strategic Transactions


  • Develop and implement approved tax planning projects

  • Work closely with Indivior Strategy Team to assist with the Tax impact of any proposed transactions.

  • Monitor and evaluate implications of proposed legislation. Seek solutions to minimize implications of significant legislation.

Tax Accounting

  • Review all necessary workpapers to support the US and Global tax provisions. Provisions need to be prepared under both US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Review account reconciliations prepared for all tax accounts.

  • Support quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits of the US Tax Provisions.

  • Maintain SOX compliant processes.

US Indirect Tax

  • Manage the Indirect Compliance function, including preparation of all sales & use tax and property tax returns.

  • Manage all tax correspondence with revenue authorities at the state and locality levels.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 9+ years tax accounting and compliance experience

  • Strong US tax law technical experience

  • Taxation of Inbound US Companies a plus

  • International Tax experience a plus

  • CPA, MST desired

  • Big 4 and US Public company tax experience preferred.

  • Experience with various tax provision software preferred.

  • Up to 10% domestic & international travel


COMPETENCIES/CONDUCT:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the employee will demonstrate:


  • Proven experience in tax accounting calculations and controls, including DTA recognition support, Unrecognized Tax Position documentation under US GAAP and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Strong US Tax Technical experience, particularly in US inbound taxation issues.

  • Strong desire for continuous improvement

  • Detail-oriented with strong project management, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact successfully with cross-functional relationships and non-financial business leaders to understand business needs, communicate goals and influence behavior

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary

  • Excellent organization skills and ability to understand and analyze data

  • High level of proficiency with Excel
