Position Summary
The Environmental, Health and Occupational Safety (EHOS) Manager will create, implement, coordinate and continuously improve safety programs for all of Prospiant. Provides consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented with the highest environmental, health and safety standards. Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to meet current business needs and requirements with a focus on health and safety. Reports to the VP of Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure overall EHOS compliance of all manufacturing facilities, construction sites and office operations.
Drive and instill a group culture of safety that embraces continuous improvement.
Oversight and management of Contractors and Supplier EHOS compliance at construction sites and facilities.
Lead and manage EHOS KPIs dashboard(s) including safety management software.
Work hand-in-hand with HR to develop a training curriculum, deploy and manage EHOS training program.
Implement and manage a PPE & ToolBox talk EHS program across all manufacturing and construction sites.
Lead safety meetings to remind new and current employees of workplace safety procedures and EHOS policies.
Leads the development and maintenance of all EHOS training program systems for staff and provides training to new employees in order to on-board new employees in G&P safety culture and safety management systems
Mentor department managers, as needed, to augment and support their efforts in moving to a best practice organization in terms of safety and environmental compliance.
Conduct and perform multiple-site audits to ensure compliance with EHOS regulatory and corporate requirements, followed by Kaisen/Jishuken improvement events and incident reduction initiatives.
Assists department management in identifying employee injury causation trends, and mitigation options for reducing injury frequency and severity.
Applies and interprets occupational health rules and consensus standards (i.e. ANSI) to enhance understanding of compliance with appropriate standards and controls.
Prepares and delivers recommendations to department managers, safety committee representatives, departments, managers and employees.
Performs administrative duties associated with the specific duties of the position.
In coordination with management designs systems to recognize and eliminate occupational safety and health hazards, including hazards which are recognized as risks to employees.
Determine OSHA recordability for appropriate record keeping.
Oversight and vendor management for Workers' Compensation
Ensure multi-site compliance with all local EHOS applicable codes.
Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
Manage a Safety Data Sheets (SDS) program to ensure they are properly stored and shared with employees and customers that will come in contact with potentially hazardous chemicals. It includes SDS archiving, revisions tracking, and SDS digitization.
Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings
Works with Manufacturing staff to establish procedures, standards and systems related to EHOS.
Ensures that factory operations comply with occupational safety & health regulations, as well as corporate regulations.
Ensure policies and procedures are monitored and updated to meet current business needs and requirements.
Continuously monitor the plant for hazardous safety and health conditions and ensure identified hazards are corrected, eliminated or guarded.
Performs Incident investigations and recommends and ensures implementation of corrective actions.
Ensures all new manufacturing employees are properly oriented and trained on the safe operation of all equipment in the plant.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, industrial management, or related disciplines.
8 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Occupational Safety and/or Compliance
5 years of leadership experience
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing/construction
OSHA-30 or above
Ability to travel up to 25%
Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the field or industry
Understanding of ergonomics
Strong communication and presentation skills
Organizational, planning, and documentation skills
Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
