What will you do?

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Business Development
Manager. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to expand our market presence
and drive growth for our Smart Building software solutions under the Digital Enterprise Software
team. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, building,
and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and generating qualified leads. This is an
exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a pivotal role in our company's growth
and innovation journey.

Your success will be driven by your ability to understand customer needs, market trends, and
industry dynamics. You will act as a trusted liaison to our prospects, leveraging your knowledge
of our products and solutions to address their current and future needs. The ideal candidate is a
proactive self-starter with a proven track record in a team selling environment, capable of
building strong executive-level relationships and driving demand to close deals.

  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Target companies that are an ideal profile for
    our Digital Enterprise Software solution powering smart buildings.

  • Communicate Value Proposition: Effectively articulate the challenges our personas
    face and Schneider Electric's smart building technology value proposition in a well organized and thoughtful manner.

  • Generate Qualified Opportunities: Achieve monthly targets through a multi-channel
    approach including phone calls, emails, video, and LinkedIn.

  • Lead Qualification: Thoroughly qualify leads through strategic questioning and active
    listening to uncover potential pain points and gaps in their current processes and
    technologies.


  • Pipeline Management: Take ownership of your prospecting pipeline and ensure strong
    CRM hygiene by keeping records up to date.

  • Event Participation: Attend events and conferences with the aim of lead generation.
    Inbound and Outbound Process Management: Oversee the entire inbound and
    outbound process.

  • Lead List Curation: Curate lead lists and targeted outbound campaigns.
    Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with our marketing team to create and
    nurture leads, and provide feedback on campaigns to optimize our lead generation
    process.

  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with partners and internal teams to uncover and
    generate opportunities.

  • Support Account Executives: Work hand-in-hand with Account Executives during
    discovery calls and demonstrations.

  • Manage Partnerships: Help generate leads with current and future partners.
    Career Advancement: Show a strong desire to advance within the sales organization.
    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within
    the smart building technology sector.

  • Sales Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of sales
    strategies to improve overall effectiveness.

  • Training: Strong desire to learn the Schneider Electric product family and how it is
    positioned.

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for
    improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with
    potential and existing customers, including internal colleagues and teams.

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to
    effectively communicate their benefits to prospects.

  • Feedback Loop: Act as a feedback loop between customers, sales, and the product
    development team to help improve our offerings.

Who will you report to?

  • This position reports to the Solution Sales Manager

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in a business development, sales or account
    management role selling software / digital / technology solutions.

  • Outstanding pipeline growth attainment history and track record, with a focus on
    acquiring new customers and growing into new markets.

  • Develop and understanding of the IWMS and enterprise software landscape and the
    ability to articulate its value proposition to potential clients is highly desirable.

  • Develop a good understanding of and passion for Cloud, IoT/edge, Big Data, Digital
    Twin, AI, Predictive /Prescriptive Analytics, Smart Building solutions and emerging
    enterprise technologies.

  • Excellent communication and value proposition skills, with the ability to build rapport and
    trust with prospective customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales and lead generation
    strategies that drive business growth.

  • A self-starter, able to work to find and develop new /existing client engagements leading
    to qualified opportunities with an ambitious and proactive mindset, and a passion for
    driving sales and exceeding targets.
