This role will lead the global Financial Planning & Analysis function for the Life Science Technologies (LST) business. The individual will need to work with a global finance team. This key role will be instrumental in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and monthly close processes. In addition, this individual will lead the completion and consolidation of the monthly operating review and business review files. This role will conduct financial reporting and analysis to identify and partner with the regional P&L leaders to assess risks and opportunities, and develop analytics that measure key performance indicators to drive accountability.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the VP of Finance and business unit SVP & General Manager in the financial management of the LST business
Collaborate with regional P&L leaders, their finance business partners, Shared Services, and Corporate FP&A to ensure a timely and accurate month end closing, budgeting and forecasting cycles
Analyze monthly results and/or trending data to support the monthly forecast, identify risks to the forecast and partner with the Regional P&L leadership to create mitigation strategies and actions
Consolidate the monthly operations review (MOR) schedules from the various P&L’s and operations teams
Complete the monthly business review (MBR) template and pull together supporting schedules for review with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership team
Analyze and partner with the leadership team on the organization’s SG&A spend to drive continuous improvement in ROI on investments made to grow the business
Serve as the primary point of contact for Corporate FP&A including communication of the monthly calendar and various ad hoc requests
Develop the FP&A finance team to provide strong bench strength within both LST and the broader Ingersoll Rand Organization
Evaluate current systems and processes and recommend/drive improvements to the monthly forecast process
Provide strong leadership and communication to the business.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, or Finance. (MBA/CPA Preferred)
10 - 15 years of experience in finance/accounting including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory/management role
Executive level presence, leadership, collaboration, people development and communication skills
Operates with a clear bias for action including the ability to recommend, make decisions, and drive change as necessary
