Summary

We are seeking a creative and visionary Director of Design to join our team and lead the design strategy across all aspects of the La Colombe brand. As a Director of Design, you will be responsible for translating La Colombe’s brand vision into compelling visual and physical experiences that resonate with our broad audience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and innovation in our design approach, from packaging to digital experiences, retail environments, and beyond. This role requires a deep understanding of brand identity, a passion for storytelling through design, and a strong ability to lead and inspire a small team of creatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall design strategy and execution for La Colombe, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
  • Oversee the development and execution of design concepts across various platforms, including packaging, retail spaces, digital assets, marketing materials, and more.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, Business Units, and Operations teams to ensure cohesive brand representation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and differentiation in our design approach.
  • Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed, maintaining high standards of creative output and brand integrity.
  • Champion a user-centric design philosophy, incorporating customer feedback and insights into design decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in graphic design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing a design team.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing brand identities across multiple channels.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, with a focus on branding and packaging design.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.) and understanding of digital design principles.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.

Compensation Range: $140,000.00 - $210,000.00, plus bonus.
