The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Accounting Team with a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, credit card reconciliation, and additional ad hoc responsibilities. This role involves the creation and maintenance of general ledger items as well.



This position will be hybrid remote for candidates located in Denver, or is open to qualified candidates outside of Denver as a remote position.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following functions must be performed by a qualified candidate with or without reasonable accommodation.



Accounts Payable



  • Manage the complete accounts payable process, working closely with different team members, including procurement, to ensure that invoices are accurately matched with purchase orders and have received proper approval.

  • Calculate and record use tax for both monthly and quarterly sales and use tax submissions.

  • Provide comprehensive accounts payable support, including assistance with proposed payment runs.

  • Contribute to the maintenance of general ledger items, including prepaid assets, fixed assets, and other requested entries.


Credit Card Reconciliations



  • Download and import credit card transactions for tracking and receipt management.

  • After all credit card transactions are recorded, code and route them for approval while ensuring accurate reconciliation of credit card accounts.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable is required for this position. An Associate's Degree in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint software is required for all applicants
