Job Title: Software Engineering Consultant (Contingent)


Location: Charlotte, NC


Job Description: As a Software Engineering Consultant, you will:

• Provide expert consultation on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning.


• Review and analyze multifaceted, large-scale, or long-term software engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements.


• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations by applying a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.


• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel to meet deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.


• 6+ years of experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java/J2EE.


• 2+ years of experience with business process workflow software.


• 4+ years of experience with Spring Framework.


• Experience in microservices architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in analysis, coding, and debugging Java frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.


• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.


• Knowledge of or experience with Kafka.


• Experience working with REST services.


• Proficiency in API development and knowledge of common design patterns.


• Experience managing applications in a cloud environment (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).


• Experience working in an Agile environment.
