Contract Position




$38.79 - $51.20/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the procurement of materials, services, and products to meet program requirements.


• Collaborate with program leads to identify and manage long lead materials.


• Work with sourcing and program teams to select suppliers from the approved list to achieve program objectives.


• Prepare purchase orders using Coupa and Costpoint software, ensuring all supplier documentation (e.g., terms and conditions, NDAs) is completed prior to engagement.


• Monitor supplier performance, manage backlog and daily order status reports, and adjust schedules as needed.


• Address discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, invoices, and payments with suppliers.


• Expedite materials as necessary to manage shortages and ensure timely delivery.


• Coordinate with logistics to ensure the economical and timely transportation of materials to production locations.


• Manage returns for discrepant materials from receiving inspections and ensure proper documentation.


• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.


• 
  2-3 years of tactical-level purchasing experience, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed).


• Experience managing a commodity end-to-end (raw materials, COTS, buy parts, etc.).


• Familiarity with RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, PO processing, and supplier management.


• Ability to predict material needs 1-2 months in advance and procure long lead items.


• Proficiency with MRP systems (Costpoint experience is a plus).


• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
