The School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) invites applications for tenure-line faculty positions at the level of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor in the areas of sport economics, finance, and/or analytics (business or player). Successful candidates will join a vibrant and collaborative faculty dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and service. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: sport-anchored development strategies, professional and collegiate sports, venue financing, business analytics for sports, antitrust economics, and player analytics.
Candidates for this open faculty position will be expected to maintain a robust research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in our sport management program, and have research expertise appropriate for effectively mentoring trainees at the undergraduate, doctoral, and/or post-doctoral levels.
Requirements include a doctoral degree in Sport Management, Business, Economics, or a related field, experience mentoring and teaching undergraduate and graduate students, publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research, engagement in service, the ability to seek and secure external funding, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Candidates should demonstrate their contributions to a positive workplace culture, aligned with our schools core values.
