Job Description:

This project is located in Delta, Utah. Per diem is available for non-local candidates; however, preference will be given to candidates who can independently arrange transportation to the site (Delta, Utah).

Position: Traveling Site Superintendent

Location: Delta, UT, preference will be given to candidates who can independently arrange transportation to the site

Project Duration: 5+ months with potential travel after the initial project

Compensation: $40 - 55/hr

Other Perks: Per diem provided

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week; overtime as needed at 1.5x rate, currently working 5x10-hour shifts

Role Overview:

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the construction project according to design specifications and ensuring adherence to safe construction practices. This role includes managing the quality, safety, schedule, and cost of the project while communicating any issues to the Site Manager or Construction Manager. Compliance with all contractual specifications, drawings, and materials is essential, as well as reporting any quality concerns and initiating corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, documenting findings, and reporting deviations to the Site Manager.
  • Submit Non-Conformance Reports and recommend corrective actions for any quality issues.
  • Assist the Site Manager with reviewing subcontractors' quality procedures and provide necessary design and product information to ensure work meets contractual standards.
  • Attend site coordination meetings and update the Site Manager on any deviations from the schedule or contract.
  • Supervise and assist in planning the coordination of site staff, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and services.
  • Review requests for extra work from subcontractors and provide recommendations for approval or disapproval.
  • Work with the Site Manager to ensure cost-effective outcomes for materials and work performed by staff and subcontractors.
  • Monitor the performance of site staff and subcontractors daily, reporting any issues affecting the project timeline.
  • Maintain records such as Daily Site Reports, and prepare weekly/monthly work plans and schedules.
  • Ensure that safety standards are followed and report any incidents according to company policies.
  • Build strong working relationships with customer representatives at the site, handling customer complaints and deficiency reports as necessary.
  • Provide feedback to management on material and construction issues to improve future project estimates and execution.
