Job Title: Legal Billing Specialist
Location: Hybrid (1 day in-office, Santa Monica, San Francisco or Silicon Valley)
Salary Range: $74,000 - $98,750, with potential for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
LHH is seeking a highly detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist with strong insight into full-cycle law firm billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review client and matter setup, ensuring adherence to billing guidelines.
- Produce, review, and edit prebills, and process high-volume billing for IP practice (800+ matters/month).
- Handle soft collections (20% of the role), monitor accounts receivable, and suggest collection strategies.
- Utilize legal billing systems (Aderant preferred), e-billing, and LEDES file formats.
- Collaborate with attorneys to resolve billing disputes and manage financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal billing experience, with proficiency in Aderant or other billing systems.
- Strong Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables) and e-billing experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Soft collections experience required.
