What will you do?
Main Objective
The HSE Specialist will be working the 2nd Shift to support business strategy to ensure all EHS directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively developed and implemented at site level.
Main Activities
Be a key contact and site resource for EHS support during afternoon and evening shifts, conducting observations, assessments, and oversight of non-routine work permits.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses and ergonomic assessments.
Undertake at regular intervals HSE audits/inspections of the site and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Assist in the implementation and management site ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Manage site HSE training, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required.
Support site supervisors with the investigation of HSE incidents at the site. Where necessary, lead investigation process.
Maintain HSE records to ensure adherence to corporate polices and/or regulatory requirements. Includes, but not limited to, OSHA 300 log, training, inspections, etc.
Other duties as directed by the EHS Manager.
What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree preferred in an applicable field of study.
Minimum 3 years of EHS experience, (manufacturing setting / food production highly preferred).
Knowledge and proven experience utilizing EHS Regulations including OSHA, EPA, NFPA; with preferred experience managing critical lift safety programs.
Availability to work second shift and occasional weekends.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $62,906 to $92,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
