Traveling Superintendent - El Paso, TX (Commercial Concrete Tilt Wall)
Location: Project-based in El Paso, Texas (Travels throughout Texas)
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee light industrial ground-up construction projects, with a focus on concrete tilt wall. This position is project-based, with primary assignments in El Paso, Texas, but projects can span across various Texas markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget, and be comfortable working on-site for the entire project duration.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of project construction, including the management of site operations and daily activities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Lead efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite in compliance with company and OSHA regulations.
Adhere to project budgets and monitor costs.
Collaborate with project management to set and achieve schedule goals.
Document daily project production and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact on site, ensuring smooth coordination between all project teams.
Attend all project meetings and communicate progress effectively.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in ground-up construction of light industrial projects.
3+ years of tilt wall construction experience is required.
Proven ability to manage all phases of a construction project from start to finish.
Experience developing subcontractor relationships and managing onsite teams.
Strong understanding of construction scheduling and budget management.
Ability to maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.
Comfortable traveling to and working on job sites for 10-14 months per project.
Willingness to work on projects in various Texas locations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance, including OSHA standards.
Experience working in multiple markets within Texas.
