IDS Fulfillment specializes in order fulfillment for e-commerce, direct sales, retail and start-up companies serving a wide variety of industries as well as excelling in local public and contract warehousing.
IDS is seeking an experienced and highly self-motivated person for our Project Manager position located at our Plainfield, IN facility.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Management Leader will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the company's project management office. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards, ensuring successful delivery of projects, and leading a team of project managers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading PMO functions in a logistics/3PL environment, exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in establishing and leading the PMO by defining project management standards and best practices, and developing strategies that align with the company's business objectives and growth plans
Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the project management team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop and maintain project management policies, procedures, and templates.
Oversee project portfolio management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Facilitate communication to align project objectives with organizational goals.
Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing transparency and fostering trust.
Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
Implement metrics and KPIs to measure project performance and drive accountability.
Lead change management efforts related to project initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Develop and execute change management plans, including communication and training strategies.
SECURITY
Complies with all company inventory control and security procedures and ensures compliance by others.
Possesses specific knowledge of safety protocols for the facility and customer accounts.
SAFETY
Complies with all government and company safety rules.
Is responsible for the safety of employees in their assigned area.
Reports promptly to supervision any safety violations of workers, safety noncompliance of facilities and equipment, and other safety issues.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
PMP or similar certification preferred.
10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a 3PL or similar distribution/fulfillment company.
