Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Classification: Exempt Salaried

Reports To: Vice-President of Talent and Customer Relations

Purpose of the Job: Manage complex projects from planning through delivery while also working on project details and deliverables.

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Collaborate with project sponsors to confirm project objectives, needs, and goals, including understanding the strategic, operational and financial components of the project
• Set a clear plan with defined deliverables, monitor and communicate project progress
• Manage resources, schedules and budgets including issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful on-time project delivery
• Plan and facilitate necessary meetings, including preparing the agenda, leading discussions, and tracking and following up on action items
• Facilitate project communications to all team members and stakeholders including meeting minutes, actions and owners, status dashboards, and conflict resolution, escalating decisions and unresolved issues
• Prepare and present monthly status of all projects identifying priorities and issues with the Executive Team
• Assemble the appropriate team members, manage and monitor work progress and resources involved through the course of the project
• Motivate and hold cross-functional project team members accountable, elevating resource concerns when necessary
• Utilize external vendors and internal resources and demonstrate success at building team relationships and partnerships across the company
• Facilitate lessons learned conversations to continue to improve delivery of new strategic projects
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution

Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Minimum 13 years of experience in the absence of a degree required

Experience:
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience required
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software
• Project Management Certification preferred

Physical and Working Environment:
• Working Hours: General office hours, typically 8:00 AM -5:00 PM with flexibility for business and personal needs.
• Tools and Equipment: Computer, tablet, e-mail, phone, and other standard office equipment.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on occasion; digital dexterity and hand/eye to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, supplier, or employees remotely and in person. Ability to travel by airplane or automobile.
• Travel: No regular travel required.
• Working Environment: Work usually performed in an office setting and distribution center with noise level typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
