Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating and bidding the residential/commercial installation projects, ensuring scopes of work, design, and client requirements are met. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our sales pipeline, goals, and building lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates, project bids, and budgets for commercial and residential projects.
Solicit and review material pricing quotes from suppliers and vendors to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
Collaborate with clients to define project scope, identify potential issues, and establish timelines.
Review design documents for completeness and provide feedback or requests for additional information to support accurate estimating.
Stay informed and continually learn about building exterior materials, including but not limited to siding, roofing, and gutters.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and clients to support project success.
Value engineer project budgets based on client feedback or internal/external adjustments.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in estimating for commercial and/or residential exterior building materials (e.g., siding, roofing, gutters).
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to tasks.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and scopes of work.
Proficiency in estimating/takeoff software, such as Bluebeam and HOVER 3D.
Willingness to adopt new technologies, learn company systems, and stay current with industry trends.
Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Must own a reliable vehicle for on-site appointments ($500/month stipend provided).
Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
Comfortable with occasional physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, crawling, or kneeling for inspections, site visits, and on-site takeoffs.
Tech-savvy or quick learner with technology.
