David Donahue is a leading luxury menswear brand founded in New York City in 1972. We are seeking a Product Development Associate for a new role focusing on men's apparel. This role is based in New York City and is in-person five days a week.
Overview
The Product Development Associate for Apparel will manage style development from SMS to Bulk delivery. • Continual policing of the calendar with cross functional and overseas teams to ensure all approval deadlines are met and status communicated. • Responsible for the timely execution of all garment components • Work directly with overseas vendors, reviewing and collaborating with design to approve product development submissions including lab dips, handlooms, strike offs, knit-downs, and fit samples • Responsible for style master set up and style number hierarchy • Catalog and maintain BOM libraries for future reference • Create sales collateral such as swatch cards and stock book pages
Requirements • 5 years of experience in menswear apparel product development or production • Understanding of product development lifecycle and critical milestones • Understanding of fabric and garment construction • Highly organized record keeping and data organization. • Problem solving skills • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail and follow through • Fluent in Microsoft office • Maintains a positive and professional attitude towards team, vendors, and clients • Bachelor's degree
