Job Description:

As the Engineering Manager, you will support the manufacturing and sales teams to ensure the production of high-quality products at competitive costs. This role involves maintaining CAD drawings, configuring products to meet customer and manufacturing requirements, and investigating manufacturing process issues. The Engineering Manager will lead initiatives for quality improvement, compliance, and cost reduction while collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize operations and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technology Management:
    • Proficiently use Sage, Outlook, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other company applications.
  2. Engineering Support:
    • Collaborate with sales and production teams to develop product configurations that meet customer demands while ensuring high quality and cost efficiency.
    • Maintain standard product configurations, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and CAD drawings.
    • Provide technical support for the design and configuration of steel tanks and fabrication in accordance with STI and UL specifications.
    • Lead the development and implementation of a robust quality process.
    • Oversee environmental compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to regulations.
    • Participate in the STI Technical Committee as required.
  3. Accounting Collaboration:
    • Assist in resolving accounting issues related to inventory and vendor relationships.
  4. Sales Administration:
    • Stay updated on current product knowledge, market trends, and regulatory changes.
    • Engage with customers to support sales efforts and product configuration.
    • Secure customer approvals for tank orders.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, providing researched recommendations to customers.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Skills:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, product specifications, and manufacturing processes.
    • Strong selling techniques, including negotiation, persuasion, and effective presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in Sage, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and related software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across various departments and with customers.
    • Competency in developing price quotations and conducting market assessments.
    • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
