Thank you for taking time to stop by and take a look at the BI role with a focus on Sales Data that I posed here on LinkedIN, I appreciate it. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tom Welke. I am Partner & VP at RSM Solutions, Inc and I have been recruiting talent for over 22 years and been in the tech sector since the 1990s. If you have seen my job descriptions before, you will know that I like to add some humor to these things (life is too short to not have at least a little humor). As with all the roles I work on, social fit is almost as important as the technical fit. So, here are some things that create a good social fit here:
This role will be reporting to this client's VP of Sales, Distribution & Product Management. The reason I mention this is that we are seeking that individual that can see the 'big picture'...as opposed to just looking at 'data for data sake'.
This is not an environment where you have ego's the size of a planet. So, if you are the kind of person that believes the entire world revolves around them, I suggest you run for Congress...because we wont have fit here.
This role is being done onsite in Elkhart Indiana. So, we are only seeking individuals within driving distance to Elkhart. If you want to relocate to the area, that is fine...but there are no relocation dollars available for relocation.

Here is what we are seeking: This role is something of a bridge between IT from a Data and Data Analytics space and Marketing. You will be working with data from the perspective of what it does to help sales & marketing. So, if you are that 'marketing mind' that looks at data from the perspective of:
how do we use data to increase gross margin
how do we use this data to help explore new markets
how do we use this data to help build forecasting models.
how do we use data to analyze the effectiveness of our sales force.
These are the kinds of things we are looking for in an individual for this role. Basically a 'business person' that looks at data from how it effects the business.
Here are some of the key responsibilities:
Creating and centralizing processes, reports, and dashboards in PowerBI and SalesForce.
Developing an understanding of product & customer differentiation.
Providing & developing support information, as well as managing the integrity of the data and reporting.
Work directly with sales teams to identify operational gaps, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to help sew up those gaps.
Further the implementation of SalesForce capabilities and analytics in PowerBI along with other tools supporting the growth of CRM (SF).
Advise and manage roadmaps to optimize revenue generation across the entire revenue engine (marketing, sales, and customer success).
Here is what we are seeking:
Bachelors degree in IT, Business Administration or Data Analytics.
3-5 years of PowerBI & DAX experience (both PBI and DAX are must haves).
At least 2 years of experience with SalesForce, especially from a reporting standpoint.
At least 3 years of Excel skills (I am going to be far more interested in depth and breadth of experience than I am years of experience).
Solid Business Process Modeling experience (this is a must have).
Experience working with Sales & Marketing data (this should include revenue projections, market analysis, GP reporting, forecasting models, etc....).
At least 2 years of 'classic' BA skills. This needs to include requirements gathering, documentation, process flow diagramming, workflow configs, data modeling and so on.
