General Summary:
This position establishes financial internal controls in accordance with GAAP and ensures resources are aligned to support the school's strategic plan.
The Director of Finance is responsible to the Principal/CEO and/or President. This position is a member of the Administrative Team and the Leadership Team. The roles of Assistant Business Manager, Payroll Specialist, and Cafeteria Manager report to the Finance/HR Director.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Works with the President, Principal, Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees, and faculty/ staff, to develop and prepare the annual budget. • Prepares a quarterly finanical statementfor current operations. • Oversees the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivalble and Payroll functions. • Optimizes investment and interest earnings. • Reports financial position to President, Principal and Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees on a regular basis. • Analyzed and recommends annual tuition rates to the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees. • Performs other duties as directed by the Principal or President.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and five to seven years of relevant experience. Active CPA certification is preferred.
