The Quality Control Technician assists with the material flow, output, data collection and ensures the quality of work in the System Level Test area. They demonstrate an understanding of electronics production and ESD issues. They work well with others or by themselves with minimal supervision. They demonstrate good work ethics such as: good attendance, punctuality, good communication, and initiative.
Essential Functions:
Review pass down from previous shift
Review daily priority list to determine build requirements
Cycle count material on incoming carts
Pull next build lot per the priority list
Review traveller information for accuracy
De-trash material
Review traveller information against chips
Separate bins and create travellers for each bin
Inspect components for defects
Give chips to test operators
Ensure all operators have product to work on
Collect completed trays
Fill out traveller information
Take chips to QC desk
Insure quality and productivity goals are being met.
Communicate and manage builds with supervisor
Notify Technicians when equipment needs repair
Communicates information to supervisor regarding travellers, parts, equipment, and data collection.
Verifies they have completed all their paperwork, and their work area is clean at the end of their shift.
Inform supervisor of any safety issues.
Skills required:
High School diploma or equiv.
Good English reading, writing and communication skills required
Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment. They must demonstrate attention to detail and concern about the quality of their work. Must be comfortable working and communicating with other employees. The key operator must know, understand and follow process procedures. The key operator must be have a thorough understanding of basic arithmetic and basic calculator skills
Physical Demands:
Key operators need to be able to stand for extended amounts of time. The ability to lift 40 lbs is required. Handling small delicate parts with a high degree of care and precision is needed to prevent damage to the components.
