Tax Manager A fast-growing middle market Private equity firm, based in West Palm Beach, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing finance team. This is a newly created position and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The role includes handling all tax-related responsibilities for the funds while working closely with outside tax firms to ensure a best-in-class tax function. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the tax compliance process for the primary funds along with co-invest vehicles.
Create quarterly tax reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
Manage and oversee the tax compliance process for the Management Company
Coordinate with portfolio companies and deal teams on new acquisition structures and exit transaction steps
Review externally prepared tax workpapers, federal and state returns, schedule K-1's and quarterly estimates, etc.
Ensure compliance with foreign investor tax requirements
Respond to fund investor and other stakeholder requests
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
5-8+ years of relevant tax experience within public accounting and/or a private equity firm
CPA preferred
Master's Degree preferred
Excellent time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
