Job Summary:

ElectroMechanical Design Engineer for immediate direct role in the Providence, Rhode Island area!

Our client is seeking a passionate design engineer with 3D Solidworks experience designing plastic parts, sheet metal and other machine replated parts such as motion actuators, etc. The right person will possess excellent communication/interpersonal skills, proven work ethic and a natural engineering curiosity.

Responsibilities:

• Use 2D AutoCAD and 3D Solidworks create models and drawings of custom industrial machinery
• Research new materials and methods of development
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
• Organize and maintain existing engineering records
• Construct prototypes and work collaboratively with design team
• Work on project tasks as assigned

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 4+ years' experience in electro mechanical design, ie. sheet metal, plastic parts, actuators, etc
• Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office; AutoCAD, Solidworks and other software as necessary.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas
• Knowledge of fabrication processes in machinery design
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
