Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Team Leader with a strong background in Electroplating, specifically in Zinc, Electroless Nickel (EN) on Aluminum, Black Oxide, and Tin processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, the ability to follow and enforce company procedures, and the capacity to write comprehensive work instructions to guide line operators. This role will also require the ability to assist with job estimating to support production planning and decision-making. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a production team in electroplating operations.
Oversee core electroplating processes: Zinc, EN on Aluminum, Black Oxide, and Tin.
Ensure all company procedures and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Develop and write comprehensive work instructions for line operators.
Train and mentor production staff, ensuring a high standard of work quality.
Assist with job estimating and contribute to efficient production planning.
Monitor production output to ensure efficiency and high quality.
Collaborate with quality control and other departments to meet production goals.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement continuous improvement measures.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in electroplating, with expertise in Zinc, EN on Aluminum, Black Oxide, and Tin processes.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to write and implement detailed work instructions.
Experience in job estimating or a willingness to develop this skill.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to electroplating.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficient in using production and quality control systems.
