Job Description:

We are searching for an Accessory Product Planner will develop and present plans for new vehicle accessory products. This role involves creating product plans based on OEM guides and specifications, analyzing historical sales data, and considering competitor offerings, with a focus on advanced technologies. The Planner will also investigate accessory concepts, conduct research, and analyze potential new accessories. Strong communication skills are essential.

  • Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Planning: Develop and present new vehicle accessory product plans by analyzing industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs. Understand marketable and technical features to effectively present plans to stakeholders.
  • Concept Packages: Create and present detailed reports on new accessory concepts, including business cases, risk assessments, customer interest, supplier availability, installation complexity, and competitor analysis.
  • Profitability Management: Develop business cases and manage profitability reviews for current and future projects. Ensure alignment with product plans and OEM approvals, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Information Integration: Gather and integrate technical, design, and functionality details from Brand Planning into the Product Plan.
  • Trend Reports: Generate and present reports on market trends and product strategies to drive revenue and profits. Focus on short, mid, and long-term goals as directed by the Head of Department.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general support to the Accessory Planning Department, including taking meeting minutes and distributing them to stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Revenue & Profits: Measure proposed revenue and profits against final OEM acceptance.
  • Concept Launch: Track the successful launch of new concepts.
  • On-Time Planning: Ensure timely delivery of product plans and accessory concepts.

Performance Metrics:
  • Develop effective product planning proposals using market and competitive analysis.
  • Deliver product plans and new accessory concepts on time.
  • Coordinate with departments to strategize product improvements and new features.
  • Develop and maintain accessory concept packages based on market analysis and revenue potential.
  • Monitor market sales, industry developments, and competitive actions to make recommendations.
  • Manage departmental plans and project logs, and communicate regularly with Mobis HQ (Korea).
  • Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business statistics, market research, vehicle engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: Experience in the automotive accessory business with a strong background in mechanical and technical understanding of vehicles. Experience with data analysis and market research is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced skills in electronic communication, data gathering, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in statistical data analysis.
  • Knowledge of market segmentation and research fundamentals.
  • Ability to create effective presentations tailored to the target audience.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Effective organization, negotiation, and communication abilities, including interaction with senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work well under tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment and cross-functional teamwork.
