Position Overview: The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations of a Surgery Center specializing in treatments primarily for women. This role involves managing patients, verifying insurance coverage and getting authorization, ensuring collections, ensuring efficient operations of the center and implementing strategies to improve patient care and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee the daily operations of center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for the center.

Monitor and improve workflow processes to enhance productivity and patient satisfaction.

Collections Management:

Manage and oversee the collections process, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payments.

Develop strategies to reduce outstanding accounts receivable and improve cash flow.

Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Staff Supervision:

Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including administrative and clinical staff.

Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities.

Ensure adequate staffing levels and coordinate staff schedules to meet operational needs.

Quality and Compliance:

Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address areas of improvement.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational goals and enhance service offerings.

Collaborate with senior management to identify growth opportunities.

Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive in the healthcare market.

Increase patient recruitment through proper marketing and patient referrals

Patient Experience:

Enhance the patient experience by ensuring a welcoming, caring, professional, and efficient environment.

Address patient concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.

Implement patient-centered initiatives to improve satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Management:

Prepare and manage budget for location, ensuring financial targets are met.

Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Generate financial reports and provide insights to senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively a background in health care such as nursing degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management is preferred, ideally in medical office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing, and collections processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
