Schedule: Onsite, 7:30 AM - 4 PM Pay Range: $21 - $26 per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team in North Auburn. This role is essential for supporting project management activities in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and strong organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project staff to create strategic action plans and cost estimates for materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete projects.
Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs.
Recommend and analyze materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
Assess the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
Supervise progress on development projects, ensuring milestones are met.
Compare actual project costs to estimates, identifying variances.
Work closely with the design group to modify plans as issues arise.
Analyze equipment, systems, and processes to identify modifications that improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
Ensure compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and company policies.
Collaborate with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot project-related problems.
Work with project engineers from other teams to share challenges and solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a construction-related role preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
